Dano texted and wanted to know if I was interested in doing a Community Plunge in Lake Ontario the following morning.
YES!
Now let me make this clear. I don't cold plunge on the regular. But having just been diagnosed with cancer, one thing was for certain, I was going to become a YES woman.
YES to me. YES to new things. YES to challenges. YES to stepping up and showing up!
Now this may seem a bit too woo-woo for some, but this was the Universe's plan - to present the opportunity of a cold plunge with a dear friend - for me to immerse myself in the experience of discomfort - to take on the challenge - to be supported in love by one of my many love-humans and to leave my fear and uncertainty in the water.

Together we walked into the cold, holding hands. There were tears and hugs and the exhilarating satisfaction of accomplishment. It was cathartic. A baptism of sorts. A reset for the days ahead. This is Day ONE of my journey...
I CAN DO HARD THINGS!
